Why competence evidence matters now
Several regulations now place explicit training and competence expectations on organisations and their management bodies:
- DORA requires members of a financial entity's management body to maintain sufficient knowledge and skills to understand and assess ICT risk.
- NIS2 requires members of management bodies of essential and important entities to follow cybersecurity training.
- The EU AI Act requires providers and deployers of AI systems to ensure a sufficient level of AI literacy among the staff who operate them.
These rules apply to UK organisations with operations or customers in scope in the EU. A credential mapped to the same frameworks gives you a defensible, independently assessed record of your team's competence.
